doppleganger detection is going to be a cat and mouse game between ais that can generate videos audios and texts that are indistinguishable from particular individuals and ai forensics companies that develop signatures for detecting deepfakes. i propose a third option: instead of detect/be detected, just change ur behavior sufficiently that the doppleganger is indistinguishable. this is the ‘karen’ move, named after my girlfriend who tends to introduce new and elaborated flirtations into our dynamic whenever i do the same.
